Vulcans Draw Local Rivals In Cup
The 1st XV have been drawn against local D&N divisions 2 rivals Novos in the 1st round of The EDF National Vase competition. The fixture to be played at Axwell View will pitch two closely matched sides in what should be a very closely fought contest, last seasons league fixtures produced honours even with the home side prevailing in each fixture. However less than one score clinched it on both occasions with Vulcans losing 6-10 at Novos and winning the return 19-17 at Winlaton. The fixture is the season opener for both sides being played on the 1st official Saturday, September 1st 2007.
