Durham 3rd Team League
See how Winlaton's 2nd XV are fareing in the Durham 3rd Team league
The points system was kindly pointed out to us by Neil Young of Washington RFC who we thank for his time and explanation.
The whole league was meant to be about fair play, such as providing players to teams who are short and turning up and playing even if you are short.
If you even turn up, you get 1pt for home game and 2pts for an away game.
You get 3 points for home win and 4 points for an away win.
You can get bonus points for :
1pt for lending players (its not how many you lend)
1pt for providing a ref, if the Durham Referee Society can't provide one
1pt for having a qualified coach present.
To get these bonus points, you have to tell the RFU what points you are claiming.
So, an away win with lending players, providing a ref and having a coach present would mean you get 9 points.
They are rare and generally you see teams getting 7 points for an away win.
