Winlaton is in Tyne and Wear, situated 5 miles South West of Newcastle upon Tyne, ideal touring country with easy access to the Quayside and the Coast(Whitley Bay) nightlife.

Travelling from the South on the A1M

After passing the service station at Birtley, follow the A1, and immediately after the Metro Centre, take the slip road to Swalwell and proceed past Blaydon Rugby Club until you reach the next roundabout.

Travelling from the West on the A69 from Carlisle

join the A1M and take the LEFT exist after 1.4 miles onto the A694 / B6317 / Consett / Whickham / Swalwell exit.

At roundabout, take the SECOND exit onto A694 and at the next roundabout (0.6 miles), take the THIRD exit onto B6317.

Follow the B6317 for Blaydon for half a mile, and on reaching the Swimming pool on the right hand side, turn left and proceed up Shibdon Bank where you will eventually see the rugby club on your left after 0.9 miles.
